The following are the monies raised by the motorcycle units over the past year. Some of the units have fundraisers going on at present for various projects.

Unit 1-12024 The Woodlands:

Toy Runs - $ 18,700

(Monies rose for local groups)

Toy Runs - 36,000

(Estimated value of toys collected)

VFW National Home For Children - 41,000

(Estimated value of toy sent to the Nat’l Home.)

Various Projects - 7,925

(Monies raised or donated to various projects in the community.)

Patriot Guard - 2,500

(Monies spent for fuel and other expenses during PGR Runs to Funerals & Home Comings.)

Fisher House - 2,200

(Donations to Vanderclute Run at National Convention in Reno.)

Texas Honor Ride – 10,000

(Run to San Antonio for the Bamsey Burn Unit.)

M.A.P.S. - 2,300

(Monies given to Dept. at State Convention, Mid Winter and State Motorcycle Run)

(These funds were raised for various Post and Auxiliary projects.)

(Repairs, maintenance, operational relief, landscaping)

(Financial aid to local area families of fallen soldiers, i.e. meals, transportation, exp.)

Lamon Lusk Sanchez Veterans Home, Big Spring, TX. - 3,450

(Frequent visits with food, personal items, books, puzzles, etc. for Veterans in home.)

Trinity Haven Nursing Home, Midland, TX. - 1,500

(Frequent visits with food, personal items, transportation for Veterans in home.)

Motorcycle Safety and Bicycle Safety Training Courses - 3,000

(Veteran Riders and local area Youth.)

Youth Activities - 1,000

(Participation in community service, furnishing food, flags and patriotic literature.)

Run for the Wall (Nat’l Ride to Vietnam Mem. Wall, D.C. - 1,500

(Providing food, water, supplies and financial support to riders coming through area)

M.A.P.S. 2,400

(Financial support to local veterans and returning home troops.)

National Guard – Charlie Company - 3,000

(Furnished phone cards, personal items to troops in Middle East Theater.)

Honorary Membership to the VFW - 500

(Purchased membership for returning military and gave welcome home party.)

Permian BasinVietnam Memorial - 1,100

(Donation)

I am not sure how much of these have been reported on the Post Community Reports. I will double check with the Units and also get hours spent from them. If they are not reported would you like for me to turn them in as one report or can you do so from this report? I am sure there were other items that have not been reported. I will have a more complete report at the State Convention in June.
