Dear Fellow Members,

I send greetings to each of you and your families. I hope the Holidays were filled with joy and good memories. The weather this last month has put the dampers on riding for most of the Units across the state. We down South in Unit One territory have had a few good days, but even then it was still on the chilly side. As for the Guys and Dolls in Midland and Abilene, I imagine you have been polishing chrome and shoveling snow instead of riding.

One good thing about this lousy weather is I had time to work on some good ideas for upcoming rides. The website is updated and I look forward to seeing you at the Mid-Winter Conference in Austin on January 25^th – 28^th. We will have a booth set up with the MAP Program. We will have raffle items for the MAP Program. Come by and say Hi and visit a while.

I really would like to hear from more of the members. Write, call, e-mail or contact me however you communicate best to let us know what is going on in your part of the woods so we can post it on the Web Site. You Guys are doing a great job with the After Action Reports and Pictures, but give us a heads up so other members from different Units can join in on the festivities.

Oh, by the way, we have added another Unit to our VFWMG family, making 6 Units in Texas as of this month. Welcome Amarillo as #6 at the Mid Winter Conference or give them a call. Their information is on the Web Site.

Remember, keep the rain behind you and the chrome side up, and I’ll see you soon.
