October, 2006 - Halloween at the Veterans Home

Halloween is a time for fun and a great day to take a ride.  One of our favorite places to ride is to the Lamon/Lusk/Sanchez Veterans Home in Big Springs.  The residents there are always excited when we show up.   Many of them come outside and stand around the bikes, even sit on them ocassionally.    We go with the Ladies Auxiliary and the residents love the food and gifts the ladies bring, but honestly, I think they would just asoon hang around outside with us riders.   Gives them a chance to relive their younger days while they enjoy a cigarette.

The residents of Lamon/Lusk/Sanchez love it when the children show up.  VFWMG member Kevin Davis brought his son, Garrett, or affectionately known as "G-Man" along to meet the Vetereans.

Mr. Samson was feeling a little under the weather, but a visit from the Motorcycle Group cheered him up . . . or was it the bag of tricks from the Ladies Auxiliary.   Either way - he was glad we came. 

And . . . . . we're off.
